Date with a Dog

Want to make a shelter dog's day? Date with a Dog gives approved volunteers a few hours off shelter grounds with an adoptable dog — a walk at the park, a pup cup, a car ride, exploring a pet-friendly spot, or just hanging out. Photos from your date help that dog find a forever home. How it works: fill out a foster application first. Staff will review it and approve you before a dog leaves the shelter. Once you're approved, they'll match you with a dog, ask where you plan to go and about how long you'll be away, and send you out with an air tag and contact tag on the collar.
