It is time to get our animal guests back out into the public.

Ace Hardware and Big R will be hosting our animals twice during the months of August and September.

BECOME A LICENSED HUMANE INVESTIGATOR

The Humane Society of Logan County is offering classes to prepare those interested in becoming a licensed Humane Investigator.  The Department of Agriculture of Illinois usually tests in October or November.   Humane Investigators sponsored by HSLC respond to calls from the public who believe an animal is being abused or neglected.  Their response to the call is based on the Illinois statutes regarding that particular situation.  Investigators are licensed for two years and work on a volunteer basis.

We have settled on the date for this year’s WOOFSTOCK Fundraiser.
SATURDAY,  SEPTEMBER 20, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

So now it's time to get serious about planning and line up our volunteers.
 
Last year we had two shifts of volunteers the first from 9:00 AM TO 12 NOON.

The second from 12 NOON to 3:00 PM.

Pet Food Pantry

The response to our Pet Food Pantry has been amazing. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came by the shelter and helped us stock our shelves. The generosity of the citizens of Logan County is beyond compare.

 
URGENT!!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO TRANSPORT ANIMALS TO APL FOR SPAY/NEUTER

Since we have opened the Shelter, we have many adoptions pending and do not want to have to wait for the monthly transport from APL to come to Lincoln. We will need help transporting animals on as an needed basis Monday-Thursday.
